Therapeutic Interventions
One size does not fit all when it comes to therapeutic interventions. Every individual is unique, and their circumstances and needs should be taken into account when designing an intervention plan. Personalization of therapeutic interventions is essential to ensure their effectiveness and maximize outcomes. Here at RUOE the type of therapeutic activities, therapy or counselling each young person receives is based on their needs, experiences and circumstances.

Our Mission at RUOE is to work collaboratively with other services to ensure sure that young people receive the support they need, when they need it. Therapeutic Services

Exploitation and Gang Therapeutic Mentoring
Therapeutic Mentoring is based on an approach. It provides a safe, confidential, judgemental-free space to explore aims and aspirations, understanding the barriers and blocks preventing them. Therapeutic mentoring involves a collaboration of two people, working with one another, to establish a plan or aim. Therapeutic mentoring interventions are underpinned with psychology and therapeutic theory.

Afterschool Therapeutic Interventions
All of our afterschool club activities are now focused on therapeutic approaches. Each session aims to alleviate stress, enhance overall well-being, and tackle emotional challenges that may be overwhelming. One of the highlights is Horse Therapy, where participants engage in activities like grooming, feeding, and leading a horse, all under the guidance of a mental health professional.
Activity Schedule:
-
Mondays - Music Therapy
-
Tuesdays - Boxing
-
Wednesdays - Swimming
-
Thursdays - Art Therapy
-
Fridays - Horse Therapy

Counselling & Therapy
Talking therapies are treatments which involve talking to a trained professional about thoughts, feelings and behaviour. There are many different types of talking therapy, but they all aim to:
-
give a safe time and place to talk to someone who won't judge.
-
help make sense of things and understand ourself better
-
help resolve complicated feelings, or find ways to live with them
-
help recognise unhelpful patterns in the way we think or act, and find ways to change them.
